The Mangala Gangothri has more than 20,000 alumni living and working around the world. They are leaders and contributors to the vitality of our communities, our businesses and our culture. To formally link this diffused community alumni of both Post graduate center of erstwhile Mysore University situated at Mangalgangotri, Konaje and Mangalore University have come together and formed an association called as MANGALA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (MAA), which was registered on 10 May 2007. MAA has identified a number of resources, activities and items of interest to alumni, friends and visitors with rewarding connections to the University, to fellow alumni, and to current students.

The mission of the Alumni Association is to serve both students and alumni while supporting the University. Currently, more than 3,245 alumni have shown their loyalty to Mangalore University by joining MAA.
